Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whiskies combine the finest Scottish barley and the exceptionally pure water of Loch Katrine to create the finest spirit. Matured in the finest casks, always non-chill filtered and only ever natural in colour, the Glasgow 1770 Signature Range of single malts sublime quality that have successfully brought single malt whisky back to the city of Glasgow.


Glasgow 1770 The Original

Matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks, finished in virgin oak and non-chill filtered; Glasgow 1770 'The Original' is incredibly smooth, exceptionally fruity and complex; a single malt of sublime quality that continues the rise of a new whisky era in Glasgow.

Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is always non-chill filtered and has natural colour only.

NOSE: Dried dark fruits with tropical undertones on the nose, followed by hints of biscuit, oak and freshly cut grass.

PALATE: Sweet butterscotch with a crème brulee char on the pallet. Hints of freshly sliced pear, dried figs, dates and raisin with sweet almond, honey and creamy shortbread notes.

FINISH: A long finish of thickly spread orange marmalade, nutmeg notes underpinned by complex woodiness and a slight spice.

Glasgow 1770 Peated

A rich, bold and smoky expression in the Glasgow 1770 Signature Range.

Crafted with the finest malted barley which has been smoked with the aromatic heather-rich peat of the Scottish Highlands; Matured in virgin oak and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour, this is a smoky single malt with outstanding character.

NOSE: Sweet smoke and rich toffee with notes of vibrant vanilla, dried dark fruits and cracked black peppercorn spice with subtle hints of flamed orange.

PALATE: Tobacco leaf, rich dark toffee and cacao nibs on a background of sweet soft peat and gentle earthy undertones with subtle herbaceous notes of sage.

FINISH: Long and smooth with notes of salted caramel, liquorice, and lingering spice.

Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled

Crafted from the finest malted barley; distilled three times in our traditional copper pot stills; combined with the incredibly pure water of Loch Katrine and fully matured in virgin oak casks

Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Release No.1 is non-chill filtered and natural in colour, a truly sophisticated single malt.

NOSE: The nose opens up with dark cherry and caramel toffee with fruity aromas leading to roasted almond and liquorice over a backdrop of vanilla and tea leaves

PALATE: In the mouth it is smooth and elegant, hints of ripe pear and baked vanilla cheesecake lead to a spicy chocolate with a beautifully thick texture

FINISH: The finish is long and clean with a lingering flavour of rich honey and vanilla
